California Department of State Hospitals
VUS provided services for the CA Department of State Hospitals' Conditional Release Program (CONREP). Our team undertook a 1-year project to provide ADA compliant policy & procedure standardization services as well as technological advancements in managed infrastructure hosting. This important work increased administrative efficiency for CONREP and its subcontractors in the development of training, supervision, treatment plans, screenings, and assessments to better serve populations.

California Department of Public Health
VUS partnered with Health Management Associates in supporting the CA Department of Public Health 'Future of Public Health Community Health Financing and Investment Strategic Plan'. This 18-month project focused on aligning and engaging public health (PH) at all levels, especially local health jurisdictions, around strategic positioning for the future while strengthening the financing of PH.

California Department of Housing and Community Development
VUS partnered with the California Department of Housing and Community Development Mobilehome Residency Law Protection Program (MRLPP). Our team undertook a project to provide education, outreach, and local partner coordination services to HCD that maximized the number of mobilehome homeowners accessing the MRLPP. “Local Partners” included technical assistance providers, community-based organizations, local jurisdictions, religious institutions, and advocacy organizations which work with and/or support individuals living within mobilehome park communities.

County of San Diego
VUS is currently leading an impartial evaluation of the County of San Diego Probation department strategy, processes, staffing resources and capabilities, and assisting the department with implementing organizational alignment and sustainable evaluation. Our team is collaborating with department staff, the San Diego County Probation Officers Association (SDCPOA), and other key stakeholders to determine appropriate resource allocation to support alignment with Probation’s mission, vision, and clearly defined goals​.​​
VUS supported the County of San Diego Medical Care Services Health & Human Services Agency in evaluating their Drug Disposal Product distribution plan. On October 10, 2023, the County Board of Supervisors approved an updated Opioid Settlement Framework which included a pilot program to distribute DDPs to individuals prescribed opioids after a surgical or dental procedure as part of the County’s harm reduction strategy. The pilot program was successful in distributing over 5,000 DDPs further advancing harm reduction efforts.
